Prayer Team

We want to be a prayer-saturated church. In other words, we want all of our events, gatherings and ministries to be centered around prayer. Scripture commands us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God (Philippians 4:6). We have many opportunities for you to partner in prayer with us throughout the week.

Pray in a Group

In-Service Prayer
Sundays 9:15 & 11:15 am in the Prayer Room (room 146)

During each worship service there is a team of people praying for the teaching pastor, those listening to the message, our children and students, and everything else that’s going on at Oak Pointe on a Sunday morning. This team is also available to pray with anyone who would like prayer.

Tuesday Night Prayer
Tuesdays 7:00–8:30 pm in the Prayer Room (room 146)

During this time of prayer and worship, we sit in God’s love and presence as we pray for the needs of our church family, our community, and one another.

ROCK Prayer
Thursdays 7:30–8:30 pm

During the ROCK, our middle school program, a team intercedes for our students as they listen to God’s Word. We pray for the teaching pastor and that the Holy Spirit would work in and through the spoken Word.

Saturday Morning Prayer
Saturdays 10:30 am–12:00 pm

At this prayer gathering in South Lyon, we pray using the ACTS prayer model (Adoration, Confession, Thanksgiving, Supplication). Email Edna (ednafeingold@yahoo.com) for more information.

Pray by Yourself

Intercessory Prayer
You can be part of our team of intercessors who receive daily email prayer requests that come in from our church family and all over the world. These team members pray by themselves wherever they are when these requests come in. Our intercessors have grown tremendously in their personal prayer closets as they pray to our Father in heaven.

Missionary Prayer
Play an integral role on the mission field from your very own home! Each month you’ll receive a prayer calendar via email that includes names and requests from each of our local and global missionaries.

Outreach Prayer
The outreach prayer team prays specifically for Oak Pointe events and the people who will attend. You’ll receive emails with information on upcoming events and how you can pray for them.
