Caring for Oak Pointe

Congregational Care team members serve according to their gifting and availability to provide guidance and support to individuals and their families during significant life events. They serve on an as-needed basis.

Follow-up
Help people take their next steps at Oak Pointe. Make phone calls to those who have participated in Discover, child dedications, baptisms, and other ministry activities, or who have filled out Connection Cards.

Hospital Visitation Team
Hospital patients and their families are often shocked, scared, and unsure of what’s to come. Your presence can bring them much-needed peace and encouragement, whether they’re in an urgent situation or waiting for a scheduled surgery.

Non-Hospital Visitation Team
Patients in long-term care situations need regular companionship and encouragement. Your warmth and presence can make all the difference. This team visits people in rehab centers, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and hospice.

Ongoing Care Team
Provide companionship and community for people who are isolated or in need. Needs may include meals, transportation to appointments, calls, cards, or visits.

Funeral Service Team
Oak Pointe holds many funerals and memorial services, and it’s our desire to care for and serve these families in their grief. You can help by working with a pastor or other staff member to arrange details for a service.
