Devotion

According to Proverbs, the wise worker is honest. Honesty, or integrity, is not a characteristic we hear about much anymore. I can’t remember reading or hearing anything recently about the value of integrity. If we are wise, we should look for integrity in our leaders. We should also desire it for ourselves.

Work is done best when it’s done with integrity. Living a life characterized by integrity is not always easy. When we are guided by integrity, we commit to being honest in all our actions, regardless of the consequences or implications. When tempted to act dishonestly, we are swayed by our emotions and not the truth of God.

The Big Question

Would you call yourself a person of integrity? In which area(s) of your life is it hard to have integrity?

Conclude your time in prayer and silence reflecting on what you have learned.
