Developing a Heart of Worship
The mission of Forged School of Worship is to equip the next generation of worship leaders, musicians and digital artists to serve and lead in their youth groups, college ministries, local churches, and beyond. Our eight-month program is designed to teach students methods and techniques in their discipline, while deepening their biblical theology and love for Jesus.
Forged Worship Leading 1
Forged 1 is a class for students who show competence in their instrument or voice and desire to learn how to apply these skills in the context of serving in a worship band. The students will learn (1) biblical principles of worship and congregational worship leading, (2) individual technical instruction as they learn the popular worship songs, while (3) developing their understanding of how they all fit together as a worship team. The year is capped off by the Forged Night of Worship, where students will get the opportunity to lead the congregation in worship!

Forged Worship Leading 2
Forged 2 is for students who have taken Forged 1 and are ready to take the next step in leading worship regularly in our middle school ministry! These students will go deeper into worship theology, worship leader methods and music theory equipping them to lead students and adults in the praise and adoration of Jesus! Not only do Forged 2 students lead regularly at the Rock on Thursdays, they also lead the worship at Oak Pointe’s Student Takeover service at the end of the school year.

Forged Creative
Forged Creative is a biweekly class designed for students who are passionate about creativity and digital media. Rooted in the belief that all creativity originates from the Creator, this class equips students to use photography, videography, graphic design, and social media as tools for proclaiming the gospel and serving the local church. The class is structured into focused modules, providing both training and hands-on experience in each creative discipline. Students will also have the opportunity to contribute their work to various ministries within the church, using their gifts to build up the body of Christ and reflect His glory through in creative expression. *No audition required.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the age requirement for Forged classes?
Forged 1, 2 and Forged Tech, are open to middle school and high school students.
If my student has gone through Forged 1, will they automatically move up into Forged 2?
Not automatically. Some students who have completed Forged 1 may need additional work before entering Forged 2. This will be determined at auditions.
What instruments can my student audition with?
You can audition on Vocals, Drums, Bass Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Electric Guitar, Keyboards, Violin, Viola, and Cello. If you don’t see your instrument, please ask!
How much does Forged cost and are scholarships available?
Partial scholarships are available upon written request.
