God nudged me a few years ago to begin tutoring students in reading at Mann Elementary. These kids are so fun, it is truly a joy to work with them! I tutored a 3rd grade girl named Morgan a couple years ago who I especially loved. Â
At some point, God opened a door for us to begin the Good News Club which is an after-school club where we play games, sing songs, teach verses, and the Bible. Praise God many kids come and quite a few have prayed to accept Christ. It always amazes me to be able to do this in a public school gym! Â
About a month ago, Morgan, my reading student from 2 years ago, showed up at the Good News Club. She said, “Hey I remember you!” We hugged and reconnected. Last Wednesday I had the privilege and joy to pray with her as she asked Jesus to forgive her sins and come into her life! This is what it’s all about! Good deeds + Good News. There is joy in obeying the nudges of God.
