Making Events Awesome

The Event Support Team serves the congregation by helping plan and implement events such as funerals, child dedications, and large ministry events. As a church, each of the events we host holds significance for the Kingdom, whether that significance is to welcome new people, celebrate life’s events, or dive deeper in our faith. The goal in all events is to create space for people to get connected deeper in community and grow as disciples as they continue to know Jesus deeper and make Him known. This team is for people who would love to work behind the scenes to help make these things possible.

Set up / Tear Down
Help before and after the event by setting up and tearing down. Set up can include activities like decorating, laying out materials, and food preparation, all according to the vision provided by the staff and event planner. Tear down can include things like cleaning up the room and putting decorations and food away. Occasionally table and chair set up and tear down will be needed.

Administrative Support
Come alongside the event planner in preparation for the event by picking up supplies, preparing materials, ordering food, putting together gift bags, etc.

Event Planner
Taking the staff member’s vision for the event and making it a reality. The expectation is that you will manage all of the pieces of the event and update the staff as questions arise and the planning progresses. This may include any or all of the following: planning food and decorations, delegating responsibility to the administrative event support, and coordinating set up and tear down team on the day of the event.
